I know there's a sticky related to this subject in particular, but it
dates back to early 2007 with no postings since. Unless there's an
update that I missed, please allow me to voice a growing concern.

The submission process is taking so long nowadays that it's forcing
some developers to drop the idea of developing gadgets because they
lost hope in seeing their work in the directory.

As in my case, I was considering setting up a studio to specialize in
developing independent yet useful gadgets for a particular locale, but
I'm reconsidering my plans since there's no sign yet of any of the
'sample' gadgets that I submitted a while back.

I tried all suggested ways to promote these gadgets and gain them
exposure, but authors with no blogs or personal pages such as myself
can only rely on Google's directory - as third-party directories
proved to offer little or no traffic at all. This is specially the
case with language-specific gadgets (such as Arabic).

Knowing that Google wants include as many (yet useful) gadgets as
possible, it would be helpful if there was a clear time-frame for the
submission process, with some tracking or feedback on when or whether
a gadget is accepted for listing.

Thanks.
