Hi there, First sorry if I am going about posting this the wrong way, I've only just joined the group. I have put it as a new feature request but not sure if that's the thing to do. This idea I believe would be pretty easy to adapt, but a valuable tool. If anyone wants to contact me directly to discuss itthats fine.
Thanks Phil Todd Feature: Easy Google Map Pin Point and get GPS Co-ordinates Comments: I've just spent 4 hours adding all the various map applications and trying them, this application for google maps on igoogle would be really handy. Type in postcode or address on google maps, then straight away be able to move pointer to the exact address, and see the displayed co-ordinates. I think the only was of doing it now (on maps, not igoogle gadget) is to center map at the pinpointed desination (right click centre map) and click email map eg: Hi, I'd like to share a Google Maps link with you. Link: <http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/mm?hl=en&q=easy+find+gps +coordinates&ie=UTF8&ll=53.522809,-2.649229&spn=0.008343,0.022745&z=16> Then if I type: 53.522809 as my Latitude Entry and 2.649229 as my longitude W entry it pinpoints the exact location on my sat nav device. The reason this is such a good application is that if a business is delivering something, or collecting something they have bought on ebay (especially on say industrial estates where postcodes never work) they could pin point the exact location for anyone who has a sat nav. I could use this as a widget on my website too, if somebody would like to develop the idea with me I thing we may have a saleable product.
