Hi, I'm replying to another thread already titled "Doctype XHTML error" - I cannot for the life of me see how I'm meant to reply to the thread!!!! I cannot see the point in replying to just one of the thread authors if nobody else is going to see my comment!! (Is it just me or is google groups making this harder than it needs to be... Rant over)
Anyway, Justin McConnell says "Currently there is no way for developers to invoke strict rendering. Gadgets send no doctype to the browser so are always rendered in quirks mode. The good news is that this is a feature under development right now." That was January 2008. So where are we at with this development? I have a bunch of xhtml strict pages (and toolsets) that require xhtml strict. All the google gadgets I try adding to my pages fail to appear.
