I'm totally new to Gadgets but 28 years of IT experience. If there was a book on Amazon regarding "Google Gadgets" I would have ordered it.
I used GGE on my IGoogle page, used the default "Hello World" and published it to: http://hosting.gmodules.com/ig/gadgets/file/107841730292310923638/helloNealWalters.xml If I go to a browser window and type paste in this URL, I see my sample gadget xml code. I then added it to my IGoogle page by going to "Add Stuff", then clicked "Add feed or gadget" and pasted in the URL above. The box of the gadget appears with no title, and the infamous message "Information is temporarily unavailable.". As a beginner, I want to totally hang it up at this point. When I try a new technology, it either works like a charm, or there are numerous issues such as this. I just spent an hour "Googling" this error - and I keep seeing no clear solution, other than clear your cache, keeping pressing F5, etc... I have tried in IE and Firefox and on multiple computers. So if HelloWorld is this much of an issue - is this a viable technology?
