I just dug in to this a little bit more and I can't seem to recreate the problem. I still think there's no other way to delete this data but I created a file and tried to save using Chrome. Then I checked the directory of files I've created with GGE and the new file name doesn't show up in either Firefox or Chrome. It seems that the save fails in Chrome although no error is reported. I'd like to determine if the problem is with the browser or with the Gadget Editor.
Are you still able to create files in Chrome that you can't delete in Firefox?
