You can get your gadget replaced with an alias request at https://spreadsheets.google.com/a/google.com/viewform?formkey=cEhGZVVmVUNQVmI1N2lvOW5nOGJNUFE6MA. The directory listing for the existing gadget stays in place but anyone who adds it will get the new gadget (after the alias takes effect). Similarly, anyone who has the current gadget on their iGoogle page will have the gadget replaced with the new gadget when the alias takes effect.
