The Google policy of not providing feedback to a theme developer regarding the progress of their theme submission can be very frustrating.
Unpredictable lead times often leave the developer in limbo, wondering whether the reason for their theme's non-appearance in the theme directory is due to • long lead time • policy-based rejection • code-based rejection • fallen through the cracks While I understand it's not practical to provide a mechanism to allow tracking of every theme submission, it would greatly assist if developers could at least be notified of rejections, so they know • they can stop waiting for the theme to appear • they can rectify the problem and re-submit Just letting a developer wait interminably seems not to be a very user- friendly way to go! I got into the habit of re-submitting any of my slow-to-appear themes after a couple of weeks. I still don't know whether the repeated re-submission helped, but all themes except my latest eventually appeared in the theme directory. My latest theme submission (successful according to the submission messages) was a couple of weeks ago. It would be good to know whether it has been rejected and might need modification before I re-submit it: http://users.on.net/~dvcox/gadgets/ozscapes01.xml Although, with the test URL broken I can't check any modifications I might make, so the exercise is a bit pointless at the moment!
