Our gadget's XML has been grabbed, and the title changed and ad code
added. All the resources are being pulled from our server, and since
the "author" info hasn't been changed it looks like we built it:
http://www.google.com/ig/directory?q=chess.com&root=%2Fig&dpos=top
In case that search changes over time...
Mine:
http://www.google.com/ig/directory?type=gadgets&url=ig.hosted.chesscomapps.com/api/gadget_def.php
Stolen:
http://www.google.com/ig/directory?type=gadgets&url=hosting.gmodules.com/ig/gadgets/file/116639324156093865313/worldbest_chess.xml
A search of this forum for "copied" or "stolen" and the like seems to
turn up a lot of such complaints. Given the addition of the ad code by
the copiers, shouldn't Google treat these submissions to the directory
like they do spam blogs? It seems onerous to have to constantly search
the iGoogle directory for violations and submit them as per these
processes: http://www.google.com/igoogle_dmca.html
