This used to work in the past, but now, if the gadget XML is sourced from port 8080, the gadget will not load when using the add gadget button or by entering the URL in the browser:
http://fusion.google.com/add?source=atgs&moduleurl=http%3A//<myhost>:8080/apps/services/test.xml Google returns the following message: "The gadget you are looking for is not valid." It works fine if i add it directly from iGoogle using the "add feed or gadget" form. Is this a known bug? is there a workaround for it?
