The gadget xml is accessible from outside our LAN.
In fact, if I go to my iGoogle page and add the gadget "manually"
using the "add feed or gadget" and then entering the URL of the xml -
it works fine.

But when I try to use the "add button" api it fails - i notice the
request from Google servers reaches our server but for some reason the
process fails, with the message "The gadget you are looking for is not
valid."

I tried this with a trivial "hello world" gadget xml.
