The numbers that show up in the dashboard are based on the number of times
the gadget spec is rendered. We recently made drastic improvements to
caching on iGoogle. The result is that your gadget spec doesn't need to be
rendered as many times although the rendered gadget could still be displayed
to end users the same number of times.

The upshot is that comparing pageviews (as shown in the dashboard) between
different gadgets isn't as meaningful as comparing the pageviews for a
gadget to its own pageviews for a different time.

We're looking at ways to address this.
