Like it or not the gadget directory is still the single best place for
people to find gadgets. So it's really frustrating that I can't get an
answer to my questions about why it doesn't work.

At one time, our gadget had 850,000 users. But about a year ago, it
disappeared from the directory UNLESS you do a very specific search using
keywords. You can't browse the directory and find it even though you should
be able to. Nothing changed on our end but one day you couldn't browse and
find it anymore.

Here is what I mean:

   - Search for
   "artist", http://www.google.com/ig/directory?q=artist&dpos=top&root=%2Fig.
You see our gadget Artist a day at the top. 438,000 users.
   - Now, do that same search in the lifestyle
   category,
http://www.google.com/ig/directory?q=artist&dpos=top&root=/ig&cat=lifestyle.
We still show up. So that means it's in the lifestyle category.
   - Without a search, just browse the lifestyle category and sort by most
   users,
http://www.google.com/ig/directory?dpos=top&root=/ig&cat=lifestyle&sort=users.
With 438,000 we should be third, but we are no where to be found.

I only complain about this because without the ability to browse for
gadgets, which is how most people find them I suspect, our install based
has dwindled from 850,000 to less than 450,000 in a year. There may be
other factors in play, but for sure this doesn't help and it's clearly not
working properly. Can someone give me a reply to let me know if there is
something I'm doing wrong here or are we truly own our own?
