Google may push automatically converting passwords to passkeys -- I
recommend saying NO
I'm told that in a continuing effort to push their substandard
passkeys implementation onto users, #Google is adding an
"automatically convert passwords to passkeys" option -- which may or
may not be defaulted on or may prompt you to enable it -- to Android.
This could apparently switch you to passkey operations on all sites
that support passkeys, irrespective of how flawed any given site's
implementation may be. I cannot recommend Google's implementation of
passkeys for any users so long as Google's atrocious lack of support
for account recovery when users are accidentally locked out continues
to be the case. Your choice of course. You have been warned. -L
