well, in my kubuntu 9.10 i can use win picasa version (3.5) via
wine ... and it works almost perfectly (the only problem is with
"places", when i check that tab, everything become freezed, and i have
to manually edit the file user.reg to be able to use picasa again).
i use picasa to manage my online album and every album on my lap (some
thousands pics) and it works really well.

me too i would like to have a native linux port, but at least via wine
i can use picasa on linux without problem.
cheers,
Alberto
