Okay, minor update - I discovered a winecfg in the directory structure that Picasa 3.0 installs under.
As described by the original poster, I tried disabling "Allow the window manager to control the windows" and "Allow the window manager to decorate the window", each in turn, and then both together. None of the 3 settings fixed anything, Windowmaker still crashes each time a different picture is selected. Help?
