I'm about to upgrade from the last version google released for linux
(3.1.0, using a custom wine install) to 3.6. I've seen two procedures
mentioned:
(a) Just install using a recent wine and go from there.
(b) Install using a recent wine, then copy the installed files
to the google's custom wine directory.
Questions:
1) Which is the currently recommended method?
2) If the first way is done, how does picasa find its database which
stores album information, information about which albums are synced
to picasaweb, settings information (e.g. directories to scan or not
scan), etc?
3) What's the recommended backup procedure and recovery method if there
is difficulty with 3.6?
Thanks for any help,
Dan
