Uh No it wasn't directed at you and you know what is said about
ass-umptions.
Come lads, let's cut each other some slack ! Getting current editions of
Picasa to work properly on Linux distros is difficult enough (here it
must be said that Patrick has done yeoman work !), without participants
in the discussion taking offense at unfortunate turns of phrase which in
most cases are likely to be inadvertent. If we can't all be friends, we
can at least be civil....
Oh crap, now I have to go back and look at what I might have said that
might have engendered a comment that someone else might take offense
from....
Can't find anything useful. If I offended anyone, please accept my
apology.
As an aside -- we set up VirtualBox on slackware. I use windows xp in
it, and it even runs my canon scanner. It even runs faster than xp on
my real windows machine, which is maybe 9 years old. I haven't put
native windows picasa on it yet, but it's on the list. For things that
wine burps on it's perfect. I'm of two minds about putting turbo tax on
it rather than the real windows machine...
