Hey Mike-

We do have a slightly different zooming system in 1.7 that can lead to
the effect of seeing the large labels (the scaled tiles from the
previous zoom) for a few seconds after the zoom, depending on the
speed of your connection. Do the scaled tiles never go away for you?
