When you say drawing tracks, I assume paths of the various aircraft? Have you seen the demo "Flight Plan Polylines" in the demo gallery? Is that the sort of thing you mean? I don't know how many tracks you are going to draw etc. but maybe that is the solution you are looking for. Best bet is to try it with the number of tracks your application is likely to use and see how the performance is. I guess as you mention a time span, you may want to animate by drawing tracks for various time periods. Again the demo code should work but you'll have to look closely at the performance.
