We also noticed about six months ago that development of the Flash API had dropped off. There has been mention of possible new features coming etc. But nothing firm.
Add to that, there was no mention of the Flash API at Google I/O this time around. We switched to the ESRI Flash API for most of our internal projects about a year ago, and some of our external applications are also going that way, or sticking to the Google IS API, which of course is still being developed. If your work is real work rather than quick mashups, my advice would be to avoid the Google Flash API. That is my opinion of course. Cheers Ian. As I'm about to begin another round of app development I notice that the last version 1.18 of the sdk was released dec 2009 and that discussion seems to have tapered off. Can someone comment as to the future of the maps flash api? When might we see another release? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API For Flash" group.
