Hi Doug,

Google uses WSG84, however keep in mind that Google Earth Rendering
does not equal Google Maps rendering. They are very similar - but not
the same. A KMZ is actually just a zip file, open it up with a zip
application and look at the KML file, this would probably be the
easiest way to try and figure out what is actually going on.
