It is my intent to switch to Flex / Flash Builder in the future, since it allows for much better development. I have solved the issue I was having, since apparently MapMouseEvent.CLICK wasn't being fired properly and apparently from Google's side they have made it so MapMouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN is fired correctly, when I made this switch, everything worked as intended.
