This is an example of the PostGIS spatial query I'm using only the POLYGON
well known text is generated on the fly and added via PHP as a post
variable; basically, it's selecting only those POLYGON geometries that
intersect a bounding box created by the map:
select ogc_fid as id, st_astext(wkb_geometry) as geom from parcel where
wkb_geometry && GeomFromEWKT('SRID=900914; POLYGON((-93.50813467597962
39.37622901187369,-93.50813467597962 39.38260631165367,-93.49708397483826
