Hi Emil, I've seen quite a bit posted on this around the forum though no sure fire really great solution, mostly what I've heard is others using the maps in the context of AIR and running into the same problem work around are basically to load the map in a separate window (or at least partially) and that somehow is causing the second load to occur quickly. I'm not sure if this is related to the issue your experiencing but try searching around the forums some about AIR and lag for initial loading and I think you might find some tips to try. If you don't find anything please post back with a location to download your test at and I'll try running it and see if I can give any more insight as to what's going on.
