Thanks Everyone for your feedback. In response, we have made registration optional. All current tutorials are now fully accessible without registration.
These initial API tutorials are targeted at individuals starting out with the Google Maps API but will build up over time into comprehensive step by step examples that are fully XHTML compliant. Please take the time to have a look at the API Tutorials at let me know what we are doing well and what we can improve upon.
