Yep, that was me. :-) I did see the part about sidebar problems...and solutions, but it looked a bit high-level for my admittedly very basic level of expertise.
I'm wondering though -- if I had two sets of markers, one which are always on the map all the time through all zoom levels, and one which appear at zoom levels above, say, 7 or 8 and which are NOT on the sidebar at any time, would I simplify things enough that I could just use the GMarkerManager function for those particular markers? Maybe that would be easiest. Those markers, once off the map, wouldn't need to be remembered because they'd be off the sidebar as well. Might that be a good way to balance the zooming issue and yet keep it not particularly complex? Or will I run into problems if GMarkerManager isn't used for each and every marker on the map? (I currently use "map.addOverlay()" for the markers and saw that it's not possible to use that and the mm.addMarker at that same time on the same marker. But if they're totally separate, perhaps that wouldn't be a problem.) Again, thanks very much for taking time to help. It's vastly helpful to be pointed in the right direction!!
