If you can get your polyline into KML format, then you can throw it at
maps.google.com and not have to worry about writing any Javascript.

If your data is in XML format, you can do this:

If it's in JSON format, you can adapt this technique in the same way as
the XML example
  http://econym.googlepages.com/basic12.htm

If it's in a plain text file with sensible separators, you can adapt
this technique
