Thank you Rossko for all your assistance and speedy replies. You are
a great leader and trouble-shooter.
I found my problem and will post the answer just in case anyone else
ever has a similar issue; since sitebuilder v4.2 does have the google
map api widget in it.
As it turns out; you need a domain to run sitebuilder from. In my
case this was sitebuilder.blcmhost.net.
The main installation of sitebuilder asks for you to get an api key
prior to even having built out or published any sitebuilder sites.
When you get that first key, it needs to be for the the main domain
(or sub-domain) that the sitebuilder resides on. Again, in my case
that was sitebuilder.blcmhost.net.
I had a situation where after my installation of sitebuilder, we moved
some sitebuilder sites from another host who neglected to fix a php
problem for over a month that made page loads inconsistant.

Throughout the migration there were some copies of the previous, some
license switching, and license switching back.

When complete with the sb move my new host server thought it had the
old host's sb, even though it now had my new license.

I took for granted that my api key for my most recent sb, prior to the
migration had stuck; but it had been replaced by the key generated for
the other failing host.

I went here-->
http://download1.parallels.com/Sitebuilder/4.2.3/doc/admin/index.html?locale=en_US&article=/Admin/License&help_type=admin

and clicked on "Setting Up Area Map Module"

It clued me in to where to add the api key that is the main one for
your whole sitebuilder buildout, from there you add keys individually
on a per domain name basis from within sitebuilder's admin using the
google api widget.

In short, there are two keys for each site; one main one for all your
sitebuilder sites (the place where sitebuilder resides
((sitebuilder.blcmhost.net in this case))) and then one for each
individual site you create (westerncattletrail.net in this case) with
it's own domain name.

Thanks again and best of luck to each of you. This has been so
impressive to use your group list serve and get such great and helpful
responses.

Sincerely,

Tyson
