I wasn't saying anything about maps experience, its ok to be new -
thats the reason to be here. Just that to ask a good question needs
lots of information.

Anyway that is a 'My Map' from maps.google.com which is not actully
part of the API, so its a little outside the remit of this group.

But it does make your task quite bit harder, there is no scripting or
bulk update tool with MyMaps. The best you could do is download the
data, work on it with a script (possibly custom coded) offline, and
then re-upload the file. Or that could be done in a API based map,
either way its going to need some scripting experience (such as
javascript)

You could use KML that formated your ballons more consistantly, to
make a file that would load in Google Earth. However such a file is
not really going to be suppoted in Maps.
