OK I'm confused: I have 2 maps using the exact same lat/lng. One is a flat file (http:// www.racinnation.com/tracks/index.html) and one (http:// www.racinnation.com/sandbox/app/map.php) is using this xml file (http://www.racinnation.com/sandbox/app/results.xml) pulling the markers from a DB.
If you click on the marker at the bottom of Florida from each map you'll notice on the Map using the DB the marker is in the Ocean, the flat file map has it plotted correctly. This is the source of the DB map (http://www.racinnation.com/sandbox/ app/map.txt) this (http://www.racinnation.com/sandbox/app/xml.txt) is the source of the file that creates the xml file for the map.
