HI ALL -- "so far i have gone through the google maps api, i understand that they basically provides the web interface call for their api. we can not call map api directly on http GET or POST parameter OR google map even do not offer any webservice for such api call."
if i am wrong on above paragraph or any basic understanding please correct me. I WAN TO CONVERT MY CURRENT LATITUDE AND LONGITUDE POSITION INTO POSTCODE USING GOOGLE MAP API. SO DOES GOOGLE PROVIDES ANY SUCH MAP API CALL VIA WEBSERVICE OR DIRECT HTTP LINK PASSING LATITUDE AND LONGITUDE AS PARAMETER ? since in my application there is no web interface so i think i can not work java script and etc stuff. HOW TO FIND DISTANCE BETWEEN TO POSTCODE USING GOOGLE MAP API.. DOES GOOGLE HAS ANY SUCH SUPPORT ? Note :- actually i have gone through the "geonames" web service but i think they are not using google maps api. ... please correct me if i am wrong here.
