Apparently, there is no direct route on the database. It is not plotted with the doted line on the tiles. So, you can add your own GPolyline, (or even custom tiles), independent of the GDirections object, and inform TeleAtlas of the omission, if you wish. For routing in your application, just keep an eye on requests for this route, and when requested, use your own route instead of the GDirections object.
