MSIE enforces the rule that requires all the characters in the XML file
to conform to the character set that you specify in your XML header.
As you don't specify a character set, MSIE rejects the data when it
finds a non-ASCII character. I can't tell you what those invalid
characters are, because my newsreader refuses to handle them.
