Why doesn't google offer the old-school ability to get directions for a place? Yes, Part 26 is fairly good, but it's not the standard bubble that appears when searching on plain-old google maps. http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=123+main+street+watertown+ma&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&resnum=1&ct=title After the point appears, there are several links: To here, From Here, Search nearby. And on some websites that have been around for a while, this same bubble appears in their google map. I have been reading over the google API intro, and it seems like tons of people want to put a quick map with this information on their website - GOOGLE: Why are you making this so difficult? We shouldn't have to use the "option" parameter and enter form html code to get a directions link!!! --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
