The Royal Mail, who own the copyright to UK postcode geography, won't
sell Google a licence to redistribute that information. They will sell
Google a licence to use the info on their own pages, so a UK postcode
codes correctly on maps.google.com. Under the API, Google are not
licensed to use that information, but are allowed to geocode the
"outcode" half of the postcode. In this case "W11".

Apparently W11 is an alias for Butterfield Rd, Vernon Hills Illinois.
The geocoder has to decide whether to return that or Hammersmith,
London. (W12 2JU is in The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, but
the centre of W11 is in Hammersmith).
