Thanks for the answers. What I want is an embedded map with some more
functionality. I want the locations to link to other webpages, as done
on this page: http://www.deltabirding.nl/kaart.asp. It is just a
matter of replicating this site's javascript.

But it would be handy to just fetch the javascript from google
themselves, also since people are moving the thumbtacks around on the
shared site, and one needs to fetch the coordinates manually
repeatedly.

But I think your answers were clear.
