Hey Mapperz-
As Bjorn pointed out, there already is an IRC channel that's been around for
a few years. It doesn't appear to be too popular, but you're welcome to hang
out in it and try to increase it's popularity.

As for the interactive sampler, I do have a version for the Maps API. I just
need to clean it up and put it in the documentation. Perhaps next week :)
