Impressive. You done a great work by writing the whole control element
from scratch.
You might add more value to your control by making it keyboard
accessible.

Feedback. I tried it only on your page but I unpacked the code.
- It seems that the center button is returning the map to its initial
position, init_latlng and init_zoom. It might call
map.returnToSavedPosition().
- I thought that getDefaultPosition() is a mandatory method for a
GControl
- You wrote even the dragging code by yourself. Why not
GDraggableObject()
- The title attributes (tooltips) might be accessible
