I think my last post might have been misinterpreted.  I have deleted
it.  I was just wondering whether mobile phones had VML / SVG / CANVAS
capabilities.

I use static maps to legally bypass the dynamic maps API for full
featured browsers.  With the uncontrolled growth of the API, it is the
only game in town.
