Just noticed that the parameter is documented as mandatory for http geocoding too. http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/services.html#Geocoding_Direct.
'Indicates whether or not the geocoding request comes from a device with a location sensor.' Http request always comes from a server. Server sends the request because a client requested it to do that. This one needs clarification.
