The page is enormous, and it can take IE several seconds from when it
*looks* loaded to sorting out the formatting and making it usable.
Firefox behaves similarly, although it's a shorter time. I don't
whether collapsible sections would help with that or not. I agree with
Esa that there might be some rationalisation of the HTML, for example
with a tag group like <td><code><span>, and that is likely to help
with both load time and rendering.

What could go is the left hand sidebar. That would definitely help.
