Hello, I´m Ludek from Czech website builder called eStranky.cz. We have also "global" version running on domain eWebsite.com.
I don´t know if I ask on the right place, but I´ll give it a try:) We would like to use Google Maps API for users of our online website builder (we are currently close to the end of work on new version of our system). We developed a simple API interface within our website builder for our users, in which they can create a unique map for their website using following parameters: size, location and label. The problem is that the API key is issued only to our main domain. But our users can either host with our sub domain or on their own domain (if they buy one or already have one). Due to the fact that users can use their own domain, it is impossible to use one universal API key that we have been issued. We also do not want the users to have to register a key at another website, which is not available in our language. Is there an API or URL with text (xml or other) solution, where we can through parameters receive API keys for domains of our users? If there is not an API for generating keys, then is it possible to use the form on the following page: http://code.google.com/intl/cs/apis/maps/signup.html so that our system could automatically generate the API key. Is there a limit to the number of API keys that can be generated on this URL within a given time period? We are open to any solution. Best regards.
