I just checked. v2.x is v2.140g and v2 is  v2.139e

The GGeoXml instances in KML larger than ~500k were working as recent
as yesterday in v2.139e.

But today the GTileLayer set of images that the GGeoXml serves were
returning as empty transparent images. Hence no polylines/polygons
seen.

However the public facing Google Map does get the correct tile images
though.

The difference is in the parameter 'source=maps_api' in the api
request url.
