Most static map api reference pages SEEM to indicate it is ok to embed a static map within a client site as long as it refers to maps.google.xxxxxxx
However, one of our developers is insistent that imbedding a google map image within a client's site (even if the link refers to the google maps page) is in violation of the terms of service.
