Not necessarily. Just different data.

Perhaps it costs more to license the maps generally? Even Google's
pockets aren't bottomless.

If you're concerned about the accuracy of Tele Atlas maps, you can
report problems at http://mapinsight.teleatlas.com/mapfeedback/index.php

Don't expect anything to happen quickly. Tele Atlas still have a non-
existent road near me marked on *their* map two years after I first
reported it shouldn't be there.
