It's odd that nobody else had noticed it. The problem appears to have
been introduced in v2.79. It happens in my tutorial examples that use
GDownloadUrl(), such as
http://econym.org.uk/gmap/example_map3.htm
Maps that don't use GDownloadUrl() don't seem to be affected.
I've logged it as issue 1038.
