Local Contents, eh? Sounds like a good idea. Except that every one of the pointers in Rome, Italy at least, is off by some amount. In some cases by city blocks.
And just in the last couple of days, the initial infowindows for the Local Contents have had ads incorporated into them. If I click one of the ads, the browser window goes to a new page, taking me away from the map entirely. If the icons are painted directly on the map tiles, I wonder if eventually they'll show up in API maps?
