Hello everybody, I have recently been trying to get a line buffer (drawing a polygon in a given radius around a line) feature to working and have encountered a problem where i'm really stuck.
My map lies here http://luftbildserver.aptanacloud.com/ (Sorry for the popup thingy, either allow popups for the site or follow the link "hier" to get to the map). Try the following to get the unexpected value error: Click the line button on the right side of the map (the one with the line on it ;-)), draw a line on the map, then click on the line, choose the "Aktionen"- tab (sorry, it's all in german, should not be too hard to find, though) of the bubble and perform the "Linebuffer setzten" action. The first value you can define is the accuracy (basically it is proportional to the number of segments the resulting buffer's curves will consist of. 70% is a good value if you do not want your browser to run out of script time), the second value you can define is the size of the buffer (the distance of the polygon's edges from the line, in the inital zoom level 200,000 meters would be a good value so that you can actually see the buffer in the initial zoom level). When you have created the buffer, try to toggle to geodesic mode (the button below the button with the square), that should create the error. The feature works fine with handdrawn polygons, feel free to give it a try. I am using firebug 1.3.2. as debugger, the map looks best in firefox, it does not work in ie so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The server will only be running for 19 more days as I am using an aptana test account.
