Both you and Dorian are using Firefox 3.0.7 (albeit on different OS). There have been problems reported with this browser, particularly if Firebug is installed. If you have Firebug, try disabling it. What happens when you use another browser entirely? It may be related to Issue 1130, http://code.google.com/p/gmaps-api-issues/issues/detail?id=1130, but not every site uses prototype.js or scriptaculous scripts.
