I replaced the <p> tags in my HTML with <br />, since that's all I was
really using them for. No improvement. It still has the same behavio(u)
r even if I put a simple constant piece of text in there.

I will deal with GUnload later - the body tag is in a template that's
used across the site and so I'll have to rebuild the whole site and
make sure it works after I modify it.

I guess I'll keep puzzling over it ...
